The 4th Annual Taste of the Race Presented by Chef Emeril Lagasse and Visit South Walton will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018, Seaside, Florida (Lyceum).

Guests attending the VIP Reception with Chef Emeril Lagasse, Chef Jim Shirley, and Chef Jim Richard will enjoy a special cooking demonstration by Chef Emeril Lagasse. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and VIP guests will receive a special gift from Chef Emeril Lagasse. Following the VIP reception, VIP guests will be provided entrance into the general admission event. Race registration packet pickup will be available. Space is limited.

Attendees to the general admission event will join Chef Emeril Lagasse in person and enjoy cuisine from Emeril’s Coastal Italian restaurant along with some of the Gulf Coast’s top chefs and restaurants such as Great Southern Café, The Bay, Stinky’s Fish Camp, Bud & Alley’s, and more! Enjoy complimentary fine wine from Wine World, craft spirits, and craft beer from Grayton Beer while listening to live music! The outdoor evening festivities will be held rain or shine in a heated tent, under the big top! Space is limited. Race registration packet pickup will be available from 8:00-9:00 p.m. Event details are subject to change.

A fundraising event benefiting The Seaside School Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Tickets for the Taste of the Race can be accessed by clicking on the Ticket Info tab in the blue bar on the left side of your screen. Registration for the Half Marathon or 5K race does not include entry into the Taste of the Race with Chef Emeril Lagasse nor does ticket purchase for the Taste of the Race include entry into the Half Marathon or 5K race.

TICKETS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. 

Taste of the Race Benefit to Seaside School

100% of the race profits benefit the Seaside School, a tuition-free, local neighborhood school serving students who not only live along Hwy. 30-A, but also across Walton County. The Seaside School opened in 1996 to thirty-six students, two faculty members, and one administrator serving students in sixth through eighth grades. Today, the school has expanded to fifth through twelfth grades serving over 330 students and currently looking to add grades K-4.

Every year, the gap between The Seaside School standard of excellence and the funding provided by the state seems to grow more and more. There are either funding cuts or we simply want more for the students. In any case, the shortfall is significant each year. Whether you’re a runner, sponsor, or enjoying the Taste of the Race, please know that your support is needed and appreciated. Your participation reduces class size. Your participation provides middle school and high school students the opportunity to participate in elective classes for gardening, music, art, an award-winning robotics program, advanced placement classes, as well as career-readiness industry certification courses.

Taste of the Race Check In

Each person who purchases a ticket to the Taste of the Race will receive an email confirming their purchase if they have entered a valid email address during the purchase process. The confirmation email will serve as your entry ticket at the Taste of the Race check in tent on the  evening of the event(s).  Please print a copy of your confirmation email and present it at the check in tent.

If you need a copy of the confirmation email, take the following steps:

1. Sign In to RunSignUp
2. Go to your Profile
3. Click My Registered Races
4. Click View/Edit next to the registration that you would like to resend the confirmation email for
5. Click the Resend Confirmation Email link
6. Check the email listed in your Profile for your registration confirmation
